Meat Market Thoughts

* So I went to the meat market on my lunch break and I have to say, although it was small, I was very impressed by it.

* The only thing I saw pre-packaged (As far as the meat goes) were German sausage, Baby back ribs and brisket.
*I had to ask about the brisket because it was not in the display. The loveley lady up front said yes they have brisket but they keep it in the back because they dont have the room to display it.
* The ribeyes looked really yummy.

* The place was very clean and didn't smell funky like most meat markets do.

* The chicken looked good.

* You can buy marinated chicken and they have skirt steak for fajitas that are marinated for you. Of course it's a little more expensive than non-marinated meat.

* I bought 2 lbs. of the marinated fajita meat. I will have to report back tomorrow. I usually like to do my own seasoning, but hell I'll try it and see what happens.

* I asked the lady if they will eventually carry seafood. She said they get new things every day but if they start they will need a bigger place.

* All in all I thought the price of the meat was decent, although I don't remember seeing the percentage on the beef. I'm sure it was there, I just wasn't paying anough attention.

Which meat market did you visit?

The fajita meat was a little chewy for me. Next time we have it, I'm going to tenderize it with my little hammer.

The meat market is called MAS Meat and Produce - I agree with you Accomplice the fajita meat was a little chewy, but I thought it was pretty good.
