BackYard Project

So.. we are getting our rolls of grass in today and although I  am NOT thrilled to do the work, raking and putting the stuff down, I think it will look SO good when it is done. We finally got our sprinkler system put in last week so here is a few pics of the yard before we put our grass down. I know it doesn't look like we have done shit in the back yard, but I promise, this is hours of dirt work. Yes, we fortunately have been blessed with a Bobcat to move a large portion of the dirt, but I have raked that back yard over the past two weeks probably 10 times. And I can feel it. We also added docorative stone around the opening of each gate so the grass will not prevent the gate from opening. That is what we did all last weekend. They look really good there but I forgot to take pictures of that so I'll save it till tomorrow or the next day.

I cannot beleive how much of a difference adding the dirt has been to the structure of the yard. We had to bring in about $600.00 worth of dirt to make it ready for grass.

AFTER WE ADDED FIELD DIRT:

THEN WE  ADDED SAND:

THEN WE ADDED TOPSOIL, BUT I WAS TOO TIRED AND LAZY TO TAKE A PICTURE. SO YOU WILL HAVE TO VISUALIZE. IT WONT BE HARD TO DO.

We have 12 pallets of grass to put down. I wander how long it wil ltake us working on it every night after work???? Plus it's suppose to rain the next 5 days. Ugh... I don't mind a little rain, but if I knnow my husband we will be putting grass down, rain or shine. So, two people, 12 pallets. If I can function in the next couple days I will post pics.

We also planted a blue berry and black berry plant and some mixed chaldium bulbs. So, Im excited to see if they actually come up in the pots. We shall see.
