Yesterday was a rough day in my neighborhood. Let me tell you how my day went.
* I woke up unusually refreshed and in a great mood for a Monday. On my way to work I even thought to myself "Why am I so chipper this morning, it's Monday?"
* 8:30 a.m. turn my computer on get ready for the day. By 9:00 a.m. the phone is ringing off the hook. I'm the only lady in the office today, because the other is on vacation.
* Our 9:00 appointment shows up about the same time as another client calls.
* I grabbed his file before the boss man could talk to him. Opened it up and see a confirmation letter confirming his 9:00 a.m. hearing...for that morning.
* So we have a client in the office for an appointment and another pissed off at the court house cause his attorney's not over there.
* Called court, ended up being no big deal.
*9:30 rolls around and a suspicious box pops up on my computer telling me I have a Trojan virus. I try to X out of it, it won't let me. Long story short my computer went from perfectly fine, to completely worthless. Call to Century Link to pay someone to fix. It took him all day. Guess what people if this happens to you, do not try and do anything other than immediately yank the plug on your computer. Do not log off, cause the longer it's on your screen and you try and X out the more it embeds into your computer.
* 2:00 rolls around and I have realized I haven't received some paperwork that has to be filed today. Quick trip to mail box and it's there... surprisingly something went right.
*3:30 Lock up office, head to Decatur. Get boss man to give me additional paperwork. Walk to clerk to file. I realize boss man didn't sign necessary paperwork. Leave keys at clerks on counter. Walk back to office where he is, get him to sign. Walk back to clerk and file paperwork.
4:00 While standing at clerks I notice my keys on the counter and a single key with remote lock/start sitting by themselves. I asked clerk if someone left keys. She doesn't know, she didn't notice them laying there till right then. No more thought, I grabbed my keys and left.
4:30 I go to Walmart. I hate Walmart. Walk back to car with groceries, an old lady almost backs over me. At this point, I kind of want her to but she slams on her brakes.
5:00 On my way home. There is something in the road appearing to be small brush that has fallen off someones truck on 2123. Looks pretty safe so I straddle said brush. Not much choice to swerve because it's in the bottoms and for me to go around it could have resulted in my death by head on collision. So... I straddle said "brush". Guess what?? It's not just brush there is a f'ing log on said brush. EEEEESSSHHHHHHHH !!! Are you kidding me?
Needless to say, the rest of the night was fun.
This Morning:
8:15 a.m. I go to get my keys out of my purse to move the truck into the shop. My keys are in there but my truck key and remote lock/starter are missing. Called clerk they have them. Thank you Jesus, Thank you Lord. Car seemed to run fine this morning so I guess the sound of my engine being ripped from under my car after hitting said "brush", was not as bad as the sound. My computer has worked great today. I'm praying for a better day. We will see what happens. All in all I had a unusually weird/crappy Monday, but out of everything that happened, there seemed to have been a resolution to the problem.
** KNOCKING ON WOOD AS I TYPE**
It was just an odd day. I'm going to stay positive today in hopes for a better week.
