I should be excited it's Friday

I worry too much.
I know I have said it before but I tend to be compulsive about it.
I think I may venture away to Bowie trade days tomorrow. Hopefully the weather is nice and I can find some good deals.
Without the company of my husband I get bored. I mean really bored. I found myself laying in bed at 7 last night watching Oprah off the DVR.
I am super excited because I am booking our vacation today for June of next year. We are going back to Cancun to the same hotel. It was a blast. Now I can't wait till June.
I know it's brief but I got lots of stuff to do today.

Caveman Xtreme

I have never ran a 5K race, nor competed in any type of race since high school. That was 10 years ago. Oh my gosh . . . . can't believe how old I am. Anyways, I was amazed about how nervous I became closer to our time to start. I was biting my lip, I had butterflies, I was scared. I had decided early on that I wasn't going to just blow it off. I was going to actually bust my butt and try my hardest. About an hour before the race the wind picked up, the tents were blowing over and papers were flying everywhere. My mom called and said there was a storm coming. My worst fear, besides braking a bone was to be cold and wet. I am cool with hot and wet, just not freezing cold and wet. Well, after the wind picked up it started to rain. Great.... now I haven't even started in my heat and I am cold and wet.

12:30 rolls around and I am ready to go. Runners ready GO!!!!!!!!!! I was off. I remember from my cross country days in high school it was better not to sprint to get in the lead because you will use all your energy to quickly. So, I got a pretty steady pace going and got behind two guys and decided I am not loosing them. If I stick with them I will be ok. I stuck with them the whole time. The obstacle were fun and actually gave you a minute to catch your breath from running. There were about 40 obstacles throughout the whole thing and they were all in a good place. Meaning by the time you needed to catch your breath from running, you would come about an obstacle and although the obstacles were challenging it gave you a chance to take a breather.

The Slip in Slide was the biggest baddest I have ever seen. They were suppose to try and break a World Record that day but I'm sure it got cancelled because of the lightning. Well, I thought the slip in slide was optional, and although I wanted to do it either way about half way through the race I realize it is part of the race. Everyone is going down it. Not only that but they encourage you to slide down on your stomach.... WHAT!! Not the new girls, they are going to be smashed or beat to death going down!!! So I did what they told me to and went belly down. It was a rough ride, I'm not going to lie. It was the longest fastest slip n slide I have ever experienced. When I reached the bottom and it through me into a pond there was a guy there to help you up/make sure your still alive. I stood up and my knee was bleeding and I said I think I just popped a boob. The guy just started laughing and said that's not good.

So, after that I just kept on trucking along. I don't want to bore you with anymore the obstacle talk. Just know that I recommend doing it at least once! And here are my results:

I placed 147 out of 534 runners and had a time of 00:49.35. I could not have been any more proud of myself. After I crossed the finish line I stood around for a little bit to see where my sister was. I knew she was behind me I just didn't know how far. Well she came trucking in about 15 minutes later. I got cold again and made my way to the truck. Katie got back and we waited on another friend that did it with us. After we all got done we were not leaving without our two free bears so we made our way to the beer stand and drank our two beers on the way home. (We weren't driving of course.) Anyways, I am looking forward to the next one. It should be fun and hopefully the weather will be nicer.

just chit chatting

- I am ready for vacation again. I know it's a long ways off but I'm ready for it now.
- Hunting season is here and I am hoping we can fill up the extra freezer in the shop with some Jap and Cheese this year (aka dear meat).
- I love going to the deer lease. Its a 4 hour drive, just far enough to make yourself think it's a mini-vaca.
- Hubby and I went a few weeks ago and worked our butts off getting stuff ready for opening week.
- We have had a Halloween party every year for the the last three years. Well, we aren't having one this year. I can't get into the Halloween spirit and quite frankly I'm sick of being the one responsible for it. Everyone expects us to do it. So, we aren't having one. I just don't want to mess with it this year. Plus, I don't have a costume and I hate paying a ridiculous amount for one.
- OH MY!! I almost forgot!! I run 6 miles a day on my treadmill but I have never ran a 5K event. Well, my sister had free entries into the Caveman Extreme and she signed me up. The doctor she works for is sponsoring the event. I'm probably crazy for doing it but it looks like it would be SO much fun. I'm really hoping for decent weather Saturday. I hate being cold and wet. So, I'm hoping the sun will be out all day. I'm not going just for fun, I really wanna do good in it.
- I'll try and post more, seriously I just get rapped up in work and forget.

What a Dumb A$$ !!!!

* I wanted to blog about this last week but I got busy and didn't get a chance. This girl is an idiot. What more can you say??
* I don't think it was "hollywood" that screwed her up. I think it was poor parenting and irresponsibility on herself.
* A part of me wants to sympathize with her cause you know she is an addict, a slave to the drug, but she obviously can afford help, it just doesn't seem like she wants help.
* Unfortunetly I see little help for her in the future. She believes she is above the law.

Tuesday Morning Gripe

Yesterday was a rough day in my neighborhood. Let me tell you how my day went.

* I woke up unusually refreshed and in a great mood for a Monday. On my way to work I even thought to myself "Why am I so chipper this morning, it's Monday?"
* 8:30 a.m. turn my computer on get ready for the day. By 9:00 a.m. the phone is ringing off the hook. I'm the only lady in the office today, because the other is on vacation.
* Our 9:00 appointment shows up about the same time as another client calls.
* I grabbed his file before the boss man could talk to him. Opened it up and see a confirmation letter confirming his 9:00 a.m. hearing...for that morning.
* So we have a client in the office for an appointment and another pissed off at the court house cause his attorney's not over there.
* Called court, ended up being no big deal.
*9:30 rolls around and a suspicious box pops up on my computer telling me I have a Trojan virus. I try to X out of it, it won't let me. Long story short my computer went from perfectly fine, to completely worthless. Call to Century Link to pay someone to fix. It took him all day. Guess what people if this happens to you, do not try and do anything other than immediately yank the plug on your computer. Do not log off, cause the longer it's on your screen and you try and X out the more it embeds into your computer.
* 2:00 rolls around and I have realized I haven't received some paperwork that has to be filed today. Quick trip to mail box and it's there... surprisingly something went right.
*3:30 Lock up office, head to Decatur. Get boss man to give me additional paperwork. Walk to clerk to file. I realize boss man didn't sign necessary paperwork. Leave keys at clerks on counter. Walk back to office where he is, get him to sign. Walk back to clerk and file paperwork.
4:00 While standing at clerks I notice my keys on the counter and a single key with remote lock/start sitting by themselves. I asked clerk if someone left keys. She doesn't know, she didn't notice them laying there till right then. No more thought, I grabbed my keys and left.
4:30 I go to Walmart. I hate Walmart. Walk back to car with groceries, an old lady almost backs over me. At this point, I kind of want her to but she slams on her brakes.
5:00 On my way home. There is something in the road appearing to be small brush that has fallen off someones truck on 2123. Looks pretty safe so I straddle said brush. Not much choice to swerve because it's in the bottoms and for me to go around it could have resulted in my death by head on collision. So... I straddle said "brush". Guess what?? It's not just brush there is a f'ing log on said brush. EEEEESSSHHHHHHHH !!! Are you kidding me?
Needless to say, the rest of the night was fun.
This Morning:
8:15 a.m. I go to get my keys out of my purse to move the truck into the shop. My keys are in there but my truck key and remote lock/starter are missing. Called clerk they have them. Thank you Jesus, Thank you Lord. Car seemed to run fine this morning so I guess the sound of my engine being ripped from under my car after hitting said "brush", was not as bad as the sound. My computer has worked great today. I'm praying for a better day. We will see what happens. All in all I had a unusually weird/crappy Monday, but out of everything that happened, there seemed to have been a resolution to the problem.

** KNOCKING ON WOOD AS I TYPE**

It was just an odd day. I'm going to stay positive today in hopes for a better week.

Thirsty Thursday

* So... I am ready to get home, workout, cook dinner and make me a drink. It's been a long week. I deserve one.
* I took the truck to James Woods this morning. Good news!! An ax murder didn't bring me to work. I made hubby take me up there to pick it up.
* I am SO ready for the Brookshires to be built. IGA and Diamonds drive me insane. No variety except for Spanish people. Sorry but it's true. That shit gets old.
* I can't even find decent produce around this mother!!!!! UGH!!!! I bought strawberries yesterday instead of grapes because the grapes aren't on sale this week. By this morning they had fuzz on them. I want my $1.68 back. I should have spent the extra on the grapes and had some for 4 days.
* And yes, I am a cheap ass, and proud of it. You have to be smart about purchasing food. Geez....
* I woke up this morning at 4 a.m. to the biggest flash of light, followed by a HUGE thunder 5 seconds later.
* I think this is the very first morning since starting to workout in February that it has rained in the morning. That's a long time.
* Big Brother comes on tonight. YEH!! I hope Lane wins, I think there is only like 14 more days. He rocks the Grant shirt all the time!! I know people that know him, but I have never met him. Or maybe I met him at Grant's memorial ride. Too many people during that time. I can't remember. Anyways, he seems like a cool cat to hang out with.
* I forgot to mention this the other day but Paris Hilton getting busted for cocaine and her claiming "I was holding it for a friend" is about the funniest shit I have heard since Lindsey Lohan went to jail. What a dumb ass. Throw that ho back in the clunker.
* I eat eggs ALOT!!
* Store bought Ham Steak isn't that great. It's too salty.
* The steam bags made by Ziploc are the best. I usually get fresh broccoli and cut it up put it in the bag sprinkle some Cajun seasoning and put in microwave for 3 minutes. That's it. Steamed to perfection and SO good. Steamed squash is good too.
* We are probably going to have to mow this weekend.
gotta go peace out

Hump Day

* I always see this on facebook or myspace and I ALWAYS wanna fill it out the way I really feel, but I never would make it public. I can find a name for each one of those characters in my life, including me. Some people may not embrace theirs, which is why I don't tag and post. lol
* I woke up late this morning.... ok, well not super late. I typically get up at 5:00 a.m. and go work out. This morning I turned my alarm off and I woke up at 5:45 a.m. I still worked out. Go me!
* I have to take our truck into the dealership tomorrow for a recall, oil change, inspection and car wash. It's gonna feel like a new ride. Hopefully James Woods won't catch on fire.
* They said they had someone that could bring me to work. That kind of makes me nervous. Someone I don't know driving back to Bridgeport to go to work and then pick me up when my truck is ready.... I hope they run background checks on their employees.
* I was really pumped for this weekend, now not so much. We cancelled our trip to New Braunfels. Sheesh.... I guess getting more garage sale stuff ready and yard work is in my future. I'm not going to bitch too much though cause it's a 3 day weekend and I get off early Friday. Yippee!!
* So, I golfed for the first time since the girls came into my life over the weekend. Verdict: They aren't in the way and it didn't hurt a bit. Success.
* As stressful as golfing is and as mad and frustrated my husband gets when he plays, I still love having a hobby to do together we both enjoy.
* Deer season is right around the corner. I'm excited, I guess but a couple that is usually on our lease, won't be this year. Kind of sucks, cause me and her talk all the time and they live the closest out of all the couples on the lease.
* I'm not ready for summer to be over. Even though 100 degree weather is a beating, I will take it before winter. I cannot stand winter months.
* As for the electric bill being so high, I could do without.
* I can't believe I posted a mid week post.
* I gotta get back at it though.
peace

Weekend, here we go...

* So this week started out a little rough.

* I had to get up at the crack ass of dawn on Monday and drive myself 3 1/2 hours to Oklahoma City, go into the doctor for 20 minutes and jump back on the interstate for another 3 1/2 hour drive home. ughh... and I was all by myself.

* I barely escaped a ticket. I was running about 80 over a bridge. The copper was at the bottom. He immediately got in behind me. I suddenly got the "Awe shit!!! Great now I'm getting a ticket. Damn it!!!!!!" He followed me long enough to probably run my plates and then he passed me. "Are you kidding???" "Thank you Jesus!!". I drove the speed limit the rest of the way because I feel like God was giving me a clue to slow down. If I would have kept speeding Karma would've been back at me and I would've gotten a ticket on down the road.

* I DVR 20/20 on Friday nights and the last one that was on was about a man who was a truck driver/murderer. I can't remember how many people he had killed on his travels but I can guarantee you when I had to stop at a LOVE'S truck stop in Ardmore, Oklahoma by myself... Oh man.... that creepy guy and every truck driver at LOVE'S was making me a little paranoid.

* I started to feel my throat hurting on Monday. By Tuesday, I had the full blown snots and stuffy head. I'm pretty much over it now. I think it was the cold front that blew something in.

* We had a guy stop by the house yesterday around 6:00 p.m. trying to sell water softeners. He wasn't in a company labeled truck and he had a slobby looking guy sitting in the passenger seat. Hubby talked to him at the front door and just said we already had one, but something doesn't seem right about it. My first thought is they are posing as water softener salesman to maybe get a look see into your house or shop. Check the goodies and BAM!!!!!! Your shop and house just got broke into while you were working. He left a flyer. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

* Back to working out and it feels so good. I have been able to do my regular workout, just like normal. It feels a tad weird, ya know with them bouncing and all, but who cares.

* I am really liking the weather but I have a confession to make: I went into the closet yesterday morning after breakfast and grabbed my sweater jacket when I went outside to feed the dogs. It was chilly. I felt like a puss bag, but I didn't care.

* I LOVE ME SOME BIG BROTHER!! The episode last night couldn't have gone any better than it did.

* This weekend I have to gather EVERYTHING for the upcoming garage sale at my sisters in Bridgeport. Everyone should come buy all our crap. No, really I have some really nice clothes I'm selling. Most I can't fit into anymore, but hubby (whether he likes it or not), is parting with a bunch of his clothes, and some of his stuff still has tags on it because he decided after he bought it he didn't like the color.

* This day is zooming by which is rare for a Friday. They usually drag by.

* I love me some green grapes. Been eating the hound out them since they have been on sale lately.

* My oldest nephew started school Monday. He ran over to my house that afternoon to tell me all about it. He was most excited that he got to choose what he ate for lunch. He apparently never had an option in day care.

* There are 17 kids in his class at Paradise. My sister told me that each week a kids parent has to provide a snack for the entire class the whole week. That's 17 kids X 50 cents a snack X 5 days a week. That comes to about $45.00, give or take after tax. So, what if the kids parents don''t have that kind of money. I am guessing if your child is in the free lunch program, your child's name is not on the snack lists. Oh and the snack cannot be chips, chocolate, cookies, or anything with sugar in it. Basically no junk food. I still can't think of a snack that she could bring, other than maybe fruit snacks of sugar free jello?

* I gotta bounce and get back to work. I'm feeling great today. Hopefully a good sign for the weekend.

peace. be safe.

Something tells me if these men knew they were gonna be trapped together for 4 months, this newly released raw video wouldn't be near as entertaining

Friday, August 20, 2010

AHHHH . . . . alas it's Friday

* I couldn't resist the picture...
* So I got me a new pair of girls and I get my stiches out Monday. I can't wait. This wrap I have had on them for 2 weeks is killing my back.
* I want to see my before and after. It's hard to tell when you look at them every day.
* A lady came by the office today and I swear, she had to be the most miserable person I have been around in a while. Her attitude, demeanor, antics, everything sucked. It's like she hated me because I typed up a paper for her to sign. I try and lay the niceness on SUPER thick when people act like that.
* I reconnected with an two old best friends in one month. Can you say a little awkward. Both relationships had gone south for, well lets just say reasons I didn't understand.
* One is seperated from her husband and the other didn't tell her husband she was going to see us because apparently that would ignite a shit storm.
* Too much drama for me.
* I cannot stand the freaking drama lama.
* I have been SO busy this week at work, but I'm glad. Rather be busy than not.
* We are trying to plan a trip to the Schlitterbahn cause my brother in law got free tickets. I haven't been since I was young and my parents took us. I am getting pretty pumped up about it.
* We met a couple in Cancun this past July. It just so happens they are coming up this weekend to visit. That seems crazy, but they live in Round Rock and will be in Fort Worth for something this weekend so they are just going to come chill and spend the night.
* I'll write more later. I gotta get back to work.

Hump Day . . .

* I got that tattoo in Mexico but it's fake. I'm seriously contemplating down sizing it by about 1/2 and putting it on permanently. Is three tats too trashy if you can hide them??

* Vacation was a blast. Alot of drink, alot of partying, and alot of food.

* I actually lost weight on vacation.

* I am down to 126. That is 44 pounds since February. I am very proud of myself and all the hard work I have done. I wish I could slack off a little, but the weight would come back. Plus I feel better after working out every day.

* My husband told me to not get passed 120... I don't think he has ever said you are starting to look too skinny.

* Now he wants to buy me a rack. Those poor bastards just went completely away. Sheesh, I think he wants them more than I do. I have never ever felt like I needed fake boobs, till now.

* The new Eminem CD is the bomb... just saying ;)

* I always liked his music cause it's not just rap. His words tell a story.

* I wander how many people got a DWI in Wise County over the 4th of July weekend?

* Me and hubby are talking about putting a pool in soon. Any recommendations, do and dont's, or advice?

* I had a horrible charley-horse in my leg Sunday night. It still hurts.

* My sister is having a colonoscopy this morning. Keep your fingers crossed. My gyno recommends I have one when I turn 30. Better safe than sorry I guess.

* I had some weird dreams last night.
* The funniest thing I saw on TV last night, Lindsey Lohan sentenced to 90 days in jail, plus 90 days of rehab. That's either gonna be the best thing for her or this will have put her over the edge and she will go A-wall in the next two weeks, resulting in her death. Just saying... that girl ain't stable. She is PISSED and she is an ADDICT. But, I doubt she serves a full 90 days. I give it less than a few weeks.
* I finally got an iphone. I've never had one, and I love it. The battery drains easily. Any advice would be great. I turned the auto brightness down. Also, if anybody knows any apps that are cool, let me know.
* I gotta get to work. Peace!

Meet Meemo...

Meet Meemo. We named her Meemo cause she showed up on my neighbors back porch on Memorial Day morning. There was no sign of her mom and she was scared to death. I bet she isn't a week old. They went to the feed store and got her some milk. I guess they have a new pet now. She is the most adorable little deer. You can hold her like a baby and bottle feed her. She makes these crazy noises when you walk away from her like she's saying "mommy come back". I'm suppose to deer sit tomorrow for the night. We will see how that goes.

FRIDAY! Hellzzzz YEH!

* I like the B.O.B. song Airplanes. It's really catchy.
* I cannot begin to tell you people how happy I am that it is Friday. This week seemed to drag on forever.
* Shopping and getting my hair did is on my to do list this weekend. I get to see one of my really great friends today.
* and it's a 3 day weekend . . .WOOHOO!!
* The guy on the you tube video on Barry's blog creeps me the hell out. Their are some crazy ass people out there. What if it was a gun in his hand and he just decided right before the door opened he was going to spare your life? You just never know...
* Which leads to me to the next question... Would you wanna know when and how you were gonna die? I can see positives and negatives on both sides of it. I caught a glimpse of previews for a new t.v. show that flashed into the future and people see their future demise, break up of marriages, deaths of family... on second thought... No I just want to go when the good Lord wants me and I don't want to know anything. If we knew every little detail of what our lives hold, what would you live for?
* OK... I didn't mean to get so deep in thought ...
* Accomplice is lucky she has a boat to spend the weekend on. I wish we still had our boat, but building a house was way worth loosing a few toys.
* I'M JUST HAPPY IT IS FRIDAY AND IT'S A LONG WEEKEND.
* EVERYONE STAY SAFE, DRINK RESPONSIBLY, I KNOW I WILL BE!!

Friday, May 21, 2010

From my email...

* I am seriously contemplating an iphone. I have been going back and forth on it for quite some time now. I can't decide if I want a blackberry or iphone. Any suggestions peeps?? I have ever had either one. I have a Blackjack right now. I'm just a little worried about the no insurance i phone thing cause I drop my phone alot.
* I get off work early today!! Yippee! Here I come more yard work.
* I think I have said it before, but I love me some Modern Family!! That is the best show on TV in my opinion. The show that comes on before it is called The Middle, I really like that one too.
* Almost every channel, excluding the news is Paid Programming at 5:30 in the morning. That gets really annoying when you are trying to keep yourself interested while working out. Oh, by the way the Jerry Springer show comes on at 5:30 in the afternoon on the GSN channel. Yesterday this black guy had two kids in one year by 2 baby mamas...WOW
* My nephew finally got his body cast off. He is free!! Now my sister is gonna have to put him on a leash. lol
* I'm SO GLAD it is Friday. I know we are going to be busting ass on the retaining wall this weekend but I don't care, cause it's the weekend!!! :) :)
I'm out. peace.

Thursday, May 20, 2010

My Guilty Pleasure

Yes, Jerry Springer is trashy, but ya gotta love him!!
I watch his new show Baggage on GSN while I work out now. It's a dating show, which I normally wouldn't watch but some of the people on here reveal some MAJOR baggage. Hey, at least it keeps me entertained for my 30 minute work out.

Wednesday, May 19, 2010

* HA HA! We use to own a Notro boat. lol.

* We have a slight risk of storms tonight, but I have had two different people say it was suppose to get really bad tonight. I hope they are wrong.

* We still have my brother in laws dog. He got kicked out of his apartmenet in Ft. Worth and asked us to watch it over a weekend (going on 4 months ago) while he found another apartment It doesn't take me long to feel sorry for animals, but this dog has got to go. He is about to become bow practice for my husband if he chews up one more thing!! I can't take it. He has jumped on my car and scratched all down the side, chewed up $50 water hoses and eats like a pig. He gets under my feet while I'm trying to walk and has absolutely no discipline what so ever. It's his time. I don't care where he goes he just needs to go.

* Last night we got the whole first layer of retaining wall layed. Sheesh... thank God for my Dad and our neighbor. Me and hubby would have been out there (probably killing each other) by the time we got that done. If you don't get it level all the way around your wall will ultimatly fall and all the hard work you busted your ass doing will be for nothing. We have way to much money in that wall to do it half ass. (which for me makes it even more stressful that we do it right) I will try and take some pics and post of the progress.

* ANY BRIDGEPORT READERS BEWARE: My sister lives on Harwood Street in Bridgeport. Just to let you know there is a peeping tom in your neighborhood. My sister saw him looking into their bathroom window a couple weeks ago about 1:00 in the morning. She called the cops but he was never found. That creeps me the hell out.

* My 10 year high school reunion is coming up. I think I should be way more excited than I am. We are suppose to go, just not really looking forward to it, and I really don't know why.

* My mom and dad had baby ducks this week. They have never had a set of ducks that actually produced baby ducks. Usually we would either eat the eggs or they would rott. Apparently we have a good mama this time that likes to sit on her nest.

Aren't they cute?

This is just wrong . . . BUT FUNNY!!

Rocky premiered on the show Intervention about a month ago. He use to be a famous boxer and he turned into a crack head and homeless. Anyways... on with my point.

Let me just tell you first off (or I guess 2nd) that I love the show Intervention. Not only because it is entertaining but it's pretty hard core reality. Anyways, hubby and I actually watched this episode about a month ago and about the time I start tearing up during the actual intervention the following happened . . .

. . . We both looked at each other and started CRACKING UP LAUGHING!!!! I didn't know other people thought it was as funny as we did until I ran across it on youtube. I realize it's a little sick and wrong but you know your probably laughing your ass off right now and watching it again.

Move over stanky leg...

* I have got to get back in the habit of blogging. I enjoy it. I think it's therapudic for me.
* We have started building a 4 foot retaining wall at our home. That is HARD WORK!! My shoulder blades feel like a bull stomped on them.
* We dug a 6'X4' hole looking for our electric line... then we found out my brother in law has a line locator. He came right over and found it in about 1 minute. It was 2 foot underground, about 6 inches over.
* That was a major power down after a days worth of diggin through hard clay.
* I have now lost 33 1/2 pounds in 3 months. Diet and excersise do work.
* I need to buy some new clothes. I like shopping but I hate spending alot of money.
* I LOVE LOVE LOVE me some resale shops. I bought a pair of heels for $3.25 yesterday. It didn't even look like they had ever been worn.
* I'll try and get in the habit of writing more often. Just been so busy.

Monday, April 12, 2010

Already begging for Friday!!!

* As you can see in the above picture, Sadie had her fair share of Easter eggs last weekend.
* I was not really looking forward to Easter this year, but it turned out really nice and the kids seemed to really enjoy hunting eggs.
* We worked in our yard all day long yesterday.
* My everything is sore, I guess from the riding lawn mower?
* We trashed all of our solar lights. After two years the paint on them had faded and ultimatly they are expensive to keep up with. Batteries for them were around $8 or $9 for 4 batteries and each one took two.
* That adds up real quick when you have about 20 lights to replace.
* We are thinking of getting electric ones. Not sure yet.
* I renewed my license over almost a month ago and I still don't have it back yet.
* I'm so ready for summer.
* Our yard looks so nice after we mow. But now that we have mowed it's gonna need to be mowed every week or every other week.
* Kellogg Protein Bars are ridiculously expensive. $7.19 for 6 freaking bars!! Are you kidding me?
* Hubby is on a high protein diet.
* I was really hoping to win the lottery Saturday but it didn't happen.
* Me and hubby went to play golf Saturday and shot a 75. (playing best ball) That's an all time low for us.

Been a while. . .

* Things haven't exactly gone as planned in my world the last couple months. Here are a few things to catch you up.
* I lost one of my cousins in a bad car accident the day after my birthday. His son is only a few months old. Hard. To. Except.

* Murphy went missing... again, except for he has been gone since March 4th, the day after we buried my cousin. He is still M.I.A. I'm not sure if a coyote got him or someone stole him. It's very sad for me. I had him since he was 6 months old and he was almost 8. At least we got spend alot of time with him the past few months because he had to be in the house because of his leg. I will forever cherish those moments.

* I just had $500 worth of work done on my POS car, but I guess I can't gripe too much I haven't had a car payment in 6 years.

* We now have a scheduled vacation in our future. Cancun Mexico here I come!

* I have lost 21 pounds in 6 weeks due to excercises and counting my calories. I feel great and I only have about 20 more to reach my goal.

* We have been watching LIFE, the Discovery Channel documentary.

* We rented Law Abiding Citizen, which to be honest with you, I had never heard about. I have to say, it was the best movie I have seen in a long time.

* Last night we watched The Blind Side. It was ok, but man did they play down Michael Ohr to be extremely unintelligent. At some point in the movie I thought it was too much dumbness from the poor black kid from the streets.

* The news of the kid dying at Rocky Ridge this past weekend makes me sad. But, it is a very dangerous place to go if you are not careful of yourself and other drivers. We have been there numerous times and had a blast, but I did roll my four wheeler on top of my head back in 2006, and made a mad dash to the ER. I don't think the parents will sue. You sign a waiver when you go in to "ride at your own risk". And trust me there are plenty of risky situations to get yourself into there.

* I'm never been so ready for summer. We have been playing alot of golf and I got my first birdie a few weeks ago. 2 strokes is all it took.

* I need to work on our flower beds and start mowing soon.

* Oh, by the way... We are trying to sale our 100 gallon fish tank with the filters, rock, lights, stand and canopy, if anyone is interested.

* I gotta get back to work. Hope everyone has a great week.

DUMBO

Dumbo was my absolute favorite movie when I was growing up. I went over to visit my nephew the other day and he was watching it. I think they were dropping acid when they made the pink elephant song. It is crazy me how many things my pure mind didnt pick up on when I was little. Now rewatching it Dumbo gets drunk, the only men working are black, the crows are well black and talk black. It's fun to rewatch it now at my age. I picked up on alot of stuff they were throwing down.

tryin to catch up...

* I was off all week last week to do some much needed spring cleaning. I enjoyed being off but I was ready to come back.
* Damn the baseboards of my home were dusty. Seriously! Go home and get eye level with your baseboards. You will be surprised how dusty they can get.
* We made the trip to New Orleans last week. We left Saturday after New Years and were back by last Tuesday afternoon. Quick trip. I wish we could have stayed longer.
* I have never been to a Rosary before. It was very interesting/confusing.
* I found out this weekend some of our good friends are going to be going through a divorce. Sad to say the least.
* After reading Barrys blog, I wanna go to Costa Rica.
* I have way too many other things that need paying for first, unfortunately.
* We are having Chicken stuffed with crawfish tonight for dinner. My mouth is already watering.
* I am starting the couch to 5K tonight. I need to lose some weight. I need motivation to start and to keep it going. My husband says he is going to work-out with me. sure for maybe the first day.... I have to stick with it this year. I'm determined. I don't even own a scale at home. Oh well. I'll know when I start losing weight.
* Instead of Buying a Wii I asked both of my sister where our old Super Nintendo was and my oldest sister had it, OMG . . . it still works!!
* I played Super Mario World all weekend! My husband thought I was crazy until he started playing too. I think I got him hooked.
